This book surprised me with its moments of levity which made me laugh. The reader feels Mohsen was one's own brother growing up in one's own household.
Moreover, there are lots of details on Iranian Shia culture, prayers, and places most Westerners have never heard about. This book contains many fine details which serve as a great jumping-off point from which to research more, if you like a good Google search. However, the footnotes are thorough and one unfamiliar with the terms will be able to also breeze through the reading with all necessary definitions given. I highly recommend this book to appreciate a great personality who gave his all in sacrifice to humanity.
