Volume twenty-three continues the exploration of the Qurʾānic message with the commentary on Sūrah Ibrahim (Chapter 14) and Sūrah al-Ḥijr (Chapter 15). This volume provides profound insights into themes of monotheism, divine guidance, human responsibility, and eschatological realities. The commentary on Sūrah Ibrahim examines its verses (1–52), highlighting its focus on the guidance offered by the Qurʾān to lead humanity from darkness into light. ʿAllāmah Ṭabāṭabaʿī emphasizes the universality of this guidance, pointing out that it transcends time and is rooted in the principle of divine mercy. The commentary delves into the stories of past nations, illustrating the consequences of gratitude and ingratitude. ʿAllāmah reflects on the invocation of Prophet Abraham for his progeny, exploring its spiritual and ethical dimensions, particularly regarding the establishment of monotheism and the sanctity of prayer. This chapter highlights the significance of reflecting on the signs of God in creation and history as a means of recognizing His oneness and justice. The commentary on Sūrah al-Ḥijr focuses on its verses (1–99), discussing the unalterable nature of the Qurʾān and its role as a source of guidance and solace for the Prophet Muḥammad and his followers.

By far the best Tafsir of the Holy Qur'an

I started reading Al-Mizan around 1985 in English. There were only a handful of English volumes. I am so thankful to Tawheed Institute to have completed its translation. It is more than a dream come true. May Allah bless Allamah Tabatabai for authoring this monumental work.
